How can a burger really be special? Well, it’s got the basics like bread, meat, and your favorite toppings, but what really sets Joia apart is their creativity. I was blown away by their lettuce and tomato sauce combo. Instead of layering them separately, they mix them together, which is a total game-changer! Not only was the burger excellent, the service was SO fast. By the time I took my seat, I was served with fresh, crispy fries and a juicy smash burger. Definitely will be back!

Bodega burgers are the best and Joia is no exception. Stellar cook on the meat. Great fries. Ube soft serve available for dessert if you save room or opt for a cold beer or N/A beverage to go with your meal. Not a lot of seats inside but the place wasn’t crowded. Surprisingly. With a burger that good, I’d expect a line out the door.

My son and i saw on the TV news that Joia Burger was rated one of the best burgers in Washington DC. My son was out of school today so we decided to take a trip from Reston Virginia to check out the hype. I got the double Patty with everything on it and my son got a double patty just meat and bun (he's very particular). We were both very impressed and are planning another trip to bring Mom next time!

One of the clearly most delicious and inventive burgers in the DMV. So delicious, I immediately ordered and devoured a second one. It's an American Wagyu smash burger topped with American cheese & their chef's special sauce mixed with diced lettuce, tomato, onion & pickle, served on potato buns. The meat is smashed super thin, almost like a burger wafer and it was perfect. And the cheese was just right, especially with the tangy almost slaw-like mix of lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle. Service was fast and friendly, and while there isn't much room inside, there's a parklet with more seating outside. Can't wait to have another one!

Great spot. The fries and burgers were delicious — both the meat and veggie bean patty. My only recommendation would be to get the double patty because the single got a little lost in the bun and sauce.

Best burger in DC, absolutely the best burger I’ve had in years. Fries were perfectly crispy even though they were loaded. The sauce is amazing. Patties were 10/10. One with the gluten free bun was just as good. Staff was fast and extremely friendly.

Joia Burger does one thing very well. The burgers and fries were excellent. The truffle mayo is definitely worth the 1 up charge. At 10, the kids meal is a great deal, with a full size burger, fries and soft serve ice cream. Seating inside is limited, but we didn’t have any issue getting seats at lunchtime on a Saturday. There are also tables outside. We would absolutely return here.

The smash burgers here are excellent! They come with a chopped up mix of tomato, lettuce, pickle, onion and burger sauce which is great because you can get some in every bite without pulling out the whole piece of tomato or onion. The lace of the burger was great and the cheese to meat ratio was good. I’d recommend sharing a side of fries since they are big. Easily the best burger I’ve had in DC and the best smash burger I’ve ever had.
